Economic experts have likened Phú Quốc to a future ‘boomtown’ in Vietnam. This term refers to cities characterised by high economic growth, abundant employment opportunities, the ability to attract labour, resulting in population migration and well-developed urban infrastructure.
The Prime Minister’s conclusions in Notice No. 189/TB-VPCP dated 27 April 2024, summarising the Phu Quoc Island Development Project, highlighted impressive figures, demonstrating robust growth over the past two decades. Accordingly, the average annual economic growth rate for Phú Quốc City during the 2004–2023 period stood at 19.6 per cent; tourism growth during the 2011–2023 period exceeded 38 per cent per annum (six times the national average). Total social investment in 2023 reached over 21.6 trillion VND, 64 times the figure for 2004.
With its strategy for sustainable coastal and island urban development, Phú Quốc—currently a Category II town—aims to meet the criteria for a Category I town by 2025, just four years after being granted city status. This means that Phú Quốc will not merely be a holiday destination but will become a new economic and financial hub for the region, a centre offering high-quality living environments and attracting a global community of residents through dynamic economic and investment activities.
To implement this strategy effectively, Phú Quốc’s land-use plan has also shifted direction. Rather than focusing solely on tourism and leisure as before, priority is now being given to investment in technical infrastructure, transport and social projects aimed at developing urban areas for long-term residential use, rather than small, scattered towns reliant on tourist trade.
This has had, and continues to have, a direct impact on the Phu Quoc property market and is shaping the profile of a new generation of investors. Investing for the medium to long term and selecting projects with long-term legal certainty, rather than those offering ownership for just 50 or 70 years, is a forward-thinking approach that demonstrates the investor’s long-term vision when setting foot on the ‘Pearl Island’.

Beachfront flats with permanent ownership: the ‘pure gold’ that’s in high demand in the Phú Quốc market
According to the master plan, out of a total area of 58,928 hectares, only approximately 4,000 hectares (equivalent to 8 per cent) of Ngoc Island is zoned for urban residential use. Developments on this land will benefit from the local authority’s focused and sustainable development strategy, becoming assets passed down through the generations and increasing in value over time.
As the leading residential development on Pearl Island, spanning over 300 hectares, and alongside a range of villas, commercial townhouses and shoptels that have already been handed over and are now operational, Meyhomes Capital Phú Quốc continues to be a ‘destination’ for safe and secure living and investment, offering sustainable returns, as it prepares to launch a rare portfolio of long-term ownership seaside flats known as Meypearl Harmony.

With its highly creative concept, Meypearl Harmony presents a collection of yacht-style apartments—a first for Phú Quốc—offering a luxurious living experience akin to that of a five-star yacht right within each apartment.
Situated on Bãi Trường Beach, at the gateway to the centre of An Thới ward, Meypearl Harmony boasts outstanding locational advantages. The project is situated at the junction of the Bai Truong coastal road and the Bai Truong inter-district road – routes of particular importance for the movement of goods, as well as for the daily commutes of Phu Quoc residents and tourists. The project’s location also offers easy access to the centre of Duong Dong, the airport and the island’s famous attractions, all within just 20 minutes.
Not only do residents enjoy the full benefits of the Meyhomes Capital Phú Quốc urban development, with its comprehensive range of lifestyle amenities spanning education, healthcare, work, business and entertainment, as well as community engagement; the Meypearl Harmony complex itself is a world brimming with experiences, featuring a system of 78 unique, five-star ‘well-living’ facilities that fully cater to residents’ needs for living, healthcare, entertainment and relaxation.
Combining a host of outstanding advantages in terms of legal status, location and product quality, and offering dual value—both as a profitable investment and as an asset to be passed down through the generations—the properties at Meypearl Harmony are attracting particular interest from investors.
It is understood that Meypearl Harmony is set to launch ‘The Sunset Cruise’ tower, comprising a limited number of just 350 flats, at a reasonable investment price. Currently, the developer is offering a range of attractive schemes, giving customers the opportunity to receive discounts of up to 35 per cent when they reserve their right to purchase at this time.
